The ASX 200 ended the day down on Wednesday by 0.66 per cent.
Sky News Business Reporter Edward Boyd says the market dropped at the open.
“Pushed down by the consumer staples sector,” Mr Boyd said.
“In other words – Woolworths.
“Mining companies were down too – tech stocks lifted.”
