Former prime minister Scott Morrison will warn Australia is disconnecting from Judaeo-Christian values in his valedictory speech to Parliament on Tuesday.
Speaking to The Australian, the member for Cook also warned the re-institutionalisation of Australia’s economy would make it more vulnerable to threats to its sovereignty.
His speech will primarily focus on his record as prime minister with a particular focus on his record for the economy and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Warning of the rise in authoritarian regimes, Mr Morrison will caution against diminishing the influence and voice of Judaeo-Christian faith in Western society.
Mr Morrison will warn doing so risks Australia’s society drifting into a valueless void.
