Rugby league footballer Nathan Cleary has publicly endorsed the Indigenous Voice to Parliament after the Panthers’ three-peat grand final win against the Broncos.
Mr Cleary posted a video to social media saying, “No Voice, no choice – come on Australia, vote Yes”.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese re-posted the video, praising the star halfback for his support.
“Now, after they win the grand final, he’s posted it – timing is everything in politics,” said Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“This is a positive development for the Yes campaign – nothing else that they are doing seems to work much.”
